SLIM Project: Future Growth

Since 2023, Bas van den Ende Kunststof Recycling has experienced immense growth. This expansion requires adjustments across various aspects of the business to guide scaling in the right direction.

Bas van den Ende and Dennis Jorissen: “As directors, we embraced this challenge wholeheartedly, but we were also very aware of the need to involve our employees in this development. That’s why we applied for a SLIM grant to explore how best to support the development of our employees.”

In July 2024, Bas van den Ende received approval from the Ministry to conduct a comprehensive review of the organization to enhance our employees’ development. A project group has been established, focusing on a range of issues but primarily on employee development.

“Developing our employees and positioning the right people with the necessary skills and competencies in the right roles is a win-win for both parties. Not only does this help us retain our employees and reduce turnover, but it also indirectly supports the growth of our own leadership. We’re starting to see that investing in employee development brings more advantages than disadvantages.

It’s no longer just a race to keep up, but also an opportunity to pause and intentionally grow sustainably together.”
